Qualifited Teaching Staff
CLIDA has highly professional professors who collaborate with the school and are also members of the University of Florence faculty. The professors can be hired and courses elaborated together with the various " home" faculty department coordinators if requested.

Our Professors cover a number of backgrounds including fine arts such as: History, Art History and Anthropology, or Social and Political Sciences, International Business, Architecture, and most Humanities subjects.

Syllabuses can be adapted according to the University/College's request.

Tutors
The tutors role is to follow students in their courses chosen either via the Universities study abroad program held in Florence, the CLIDA's program in Florence or an Italian University course taken in either Florence or Rome.

The tutors role differs from the academic coordinators role in the fact that the academic coordinator oversees the complete academic program, whereas the tutor is assigned to a group or individual student for a specific course and monitors the student's progress, gives summarized revision lessons and helps the students plan a study strategy for examinations.

Our tutors are extremely qualified, friendly, organized professional people who are chosen for their extensive experience with study abroad programs, teaching skills, subject knowledge and English language skills.

Academic Coordinators
CLIDA collaborates together with highly trained academic coordinators who can supply a consulting service to the program.

This is especially useful, when students decide to follow courses outside of the program and take on courses at an Italian University. The coordinators can take care of all aspects of the students course selection, ensure that the students are aware of the contents of each academic course and can meet them on a regular basis to ensure that they are understanding their lessons, and understand what is required of them. The academic coordinator also acts as a liasion between the " home" University and the Italian University.

Student Life Advisors
Advisors have taken on a vital role in Study Abroad Programs.

In order to meet the ever changing and demanding students' requests, advisors aid the program by acting as a reference point for students and help smooth out those day to day problems which either students or the cultural changes can bring about.

Our advisors are a blessing for students, as they assist students with all those small and detailed requests that students inevitably will ask.

The advisors have a vast knowledge of all facets of city living, an infinite amount of resources for obtaining immediate information and are updated on all there is to know in the city that can be of use to the student.

They are on call 24 hours a day in case of emergencies, student problems or in the case that parents or the University have difficulty in contacting a student directly.
